The Grand View men's basketball team suffered a heartbreaking loss of 69-65 against the University of Sioux Falls in the first round game of the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Tournament at Keeter Gymnasium on March 10, 2010, in Branson, MO.

Sioux Falls went on an 8-0 scoring run late in the fourth quarter and Grand View came up empty on two attempts to win in the last possession before the end of the regulation. In overtime, USF junior guard Matt Malloy, gave the Cougars the lead, 59-58. Kevin Smith, sophomore forward, made two free throws to give the Vikings a one point lead with two minutes left in overtime. After Thomas Frames, six-foot senior guard, scored, the Cougars never looked back and went on to win 69-65.

Corey Viet, senior forward, led the Vikings with a double-double, banking in 26 points and ten rebounds. Smith was the only other Viking player to score in double figures with 11 points. The Vikings struggled shooting the whole game, connecting on only 35 percent of their shots.

Grand View finishes the season with a 25-8 record.
