Newbury: Common sense: something more people should use

Today, I am facing a severe lack of sleep and a fairly short temper. I thought I was going to have a good day. I had a great workout this morning and school was fine. But then I entered the interstate, and that went down the tubes.
It could have been the fact that it was 12:30, or it could have been because of the Girl's State Basketball Tournament, but there were a massive number of slow moving out-of-towners, all driving 63 mph in the left lane. And all driving too big for any purpose trucks.
Perhaps they thought since there was snow in the shoulder of the interstate, the roads were slick. I'm not really sure how that would work, but then again I am not a psychologist.
It may seem like I hate people, but I don't. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their different backgrounds and stories. It helps expand my horizons and helps me to understand different cultures and beliefs.
As stated in previous articles, I don't understand how some can still function in today's society. The common sense level seems to be at an all-time low, leaving people wandering around in a sober daze.
Common sense is a wonderful gift to have and many should look into acquiring some. It's a great investment, I promise you that. It will save you multiple minutes during the day, saving you from asking questions like "why is it snowing again?" To which most would reply, "Probably because it's Iowa, duh."
When situations like these arise, it's always better for both parties if you just walk away. Or ignore it all together and continue talking like that question or statement was never made, as I do when I speak to my sister on many occasions.
When you take the time to consider making common sense a part of your life, there are things to take into consideration. One being, you will now have to start figuring things out for yourself.
For example, if you lose your jump drive, go look for it. If you want to find an apartment to live in next year, go look for one. You do not need to announce to the Grand View community that you are hunting for things. The bulk of us do not care where you will live next year.
