Major improvements scheduled for fall '09

After a successful year on the Grand Views staff I have learned first hand what it takes to not only gather news stories but also report them for readers in a pleasing manner. I have gained invaluable knowledge from editor-in-chief Molly Hottle on how newspapers operate and what it takes to be successful as top dog of a campus newspaper.
Now it's my turn.
Many changes will be appearing in the fall editions of the Grand Views in 2009.
Better design, lead by our talented design editor Ashlee Humphrey, who has one semester of experience designing the center spreads under her belt.
Next, better stories for readers to feast their eyes on. News editor Stacey Campbell, sports editor Jenna Jacobs and features editor Victoria Brady will provide intriguing stories for readers to enjoy week in and week out.
Better pictures. Everyone loves pictures, and upcoming photo editor Taylor Hinkle is the Shawn Johnson of photography.
Finally, the Grand Views will run like an Olympic row-boat with every editor working perfectly with one another. A staff has been assembled to do so and will. Next year will be better. You can count on that.
