"Iowa girls are different."
It seems as if the football players from Texas have a few opinions about more than just the state of Iowa.
So here comes the big question: What is so different about Iowa girls versus Texas girls?
Joshua "Moncee" Moncivais, undecided freshman, said, "Texas girls have a more fresh sense of style."
Ostin James, business administration freshman, said Texas girls seem to have a better sense of style, but sometimes they spend too much time on their image. Iowa girls have a more laid-back, conservative style of dressing.
"Texas girls are always wearing make-up," Fernando Covarrubias, business administration freshman said. "I like that Iowa girls aren't afraid to show their natural beauty."
Everything is bigger in Texas, including attitudes.
Colton Dixon, pre-law freshman, said, "A lot of girls back home think much more higher of themselves than they should. Most Iowa girls seem a lot less stuck up."
CJ Francis, sport management freshman, said, "Texas girls are very controlling in relationships."
Travis Riedel, sport management freshman, agreed and said, "Iowa girls seem more willing to compromise about issues within a relationship."
James said, "Since Iowa girls' attitudes are different, I am still learning how to speak to them the right way."
Travis Barnes, business management freshman, said, "There's not much to do in Iowa, so y'all can have a good time just hanging out. My ex-girlfriend would complain when we didn't go out enough."
Corvarrubias said Iowa girls are usually more interesting to talk to. He said they seem to be better listeners and really care about what he is saying. Some Texas girls are more interested in themselves, he said.
Moncee and James both said Iowa girls are much more open about things and like to share their feelings.
Barnes said, "In Iowa the girls seem to get more attached to guys, in kind of a clingy way. In Texas they have independent attitudes and don't get into serious relationships as fast."
Francis said, "I have seen girls in Texas dumb themselves down thinking it would be something cute to do."
Riedel said Texas girls are a lot more spontaneous and wild at times. Dixon and Barnes both agreed on the idea that Iowa girls are more laid back and down to earth than girls in Texas.
After the topic had been discussed and all of the differences had been sorted out there was one thing that stood out from the two types of girls.
Riedel said, "Iowa girls are the type of girls you want to take home to your mom."
