"I'm responsible for taking notes at all the meetings. I also meet monthly with the provost to discuss any concerns expressed by the student body and to be the student representation on the curriculum committee as they review the curriculum over the course of this upcoming year," Phipps said.

Phipps also served as president of the Viking Volunteers in the 2008-2009 school year. He is also involved with Tri-Beta, serving as treasurer of the club for the 2009-2010 school year, as well as Alpha Chi and Alpha Sigma Lambda. Phipps also offers his free time to those in need by tutoring students in biology and chemistry.

Nick Adolf, management information systems and computer science freshman, was selected as the vice president of technology and marketing.

"I've always been interested in student leadership and when the opportunity was offered I had no reason to turn down the experience," Adolf said. "I am looking forward to being able to see how the university reacts with its student leaders in terms of the relationship. I hope as a group we can continue to improve on getting everyone involved."

Ryan Schmitt, pre-music secondary education freshman, was elected as vice president of student life and Vanessa Mata, nursing junior, was chosen as parliamentarian.
