Eight Grand View seniors will be showing their photography at the annual Senior Photo Exhibit from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 24 in the Cowles Communication Building.

Eight photographers will be presenting their work to Grand View students and staff along with their family and the community. Each photographer is going to have at least three photos displayed along with a short biography. Refreshments will be served.

Bill Schaefer, retiring photography professor, will also be recognized by Grand View president Kent Henning as this is Schaefer's last senior photo exhibit after 29 years teaching at the university. The president will speak at 5 p.m.

Ashley Stafford, photography senior, said she feels special to be able to coordinate the last senior photo exhibit for Schaefer.

Several types of photography will be represented in the exhibit: black and white, color and HDR, which is a mixture of three photos, each with different exposures, one that is under exposed, one that has a normal exposure and one that is over exposed.

The reception will feature the work of James Swanson, Tyler Irving, Ashley Stafford, Shelby Speck, Kristine Bolden, Andrew Davis, Molly Hottle and Robert Canada.

"I'm just super excited for this exhibit to be displayed," said Stafford. "I think it will be a great opportunity to get family and friends here to look at everyone's work."
