Vikings battle for conference title
The basketball program has flourished over the last weeks with winning streaks for both the men and women. Both teams are ranked nationally. The men are ranked No. 17 and the women are No. 21 and are in the top two in the conference.

Jorgensen finds her way to Grand View after playing Division 1
When Jennifer Jorgensen, freshman forward, graduated from high school she had a impressive basketball career: Miss Iowa Basketball 2008, second in all-time scoring and one of only four players to score 2,000 points and make 1,000 rebounds in a career.
She played basketball for one year at the University of the Pacific, a Division 1 school in California.…

Metrodome provides new experience
Even though the baseball diamond behind the Wellness Center will be covered with snow for a couple more weeks, the baseball will head to the Metrodome in Minneapolis on Feb. 8 to face Morningside College in their season opener.
The team has prepared for their opener at the Metrodome by practicing inside since the season started.…

Des Moines Winter Games offer students exicting time
The Des Moines Winter Games 2010 kick off tonight with a late-night party from 9 p.m. to midnight. The party will include live music, Shotski drink specials and more. Admission to the Polar Plunge requires three canned food items.
